About Us

     At Rocket Factory India, we don’t just build model rockets—we build experiences that bring rocketry to life. From designing and launching rockets to teaching the science behind them, we are here to make rocketry more accessible, practical, and exciting.

How It All Started

     Rocket Factory India was founded by Natarajan Rajavel from Chidambaram and Mathesh Manickam from Pudukottai. Our journey began with a simple curiosity about rockets and a shared passion for space science. We met online, discussing everything from propulsion systems to launch dynamics. Over time, we realized something important—while space and rocketry fascinated many, structured learning in this field was missing, especially in schools and colleges.

Making Rocket Science Accessible

      We noticed that most rocketry education was either too theoretical or too complex, leaving students with little hands-on exposure. More importantly, many students in Tamil Nadu struggled to find resources in their native language. That’s why we created Rocketry Tamil—a platform to break down rocketry concepts into simple, understandable lessons, making aerospace education available in Tamil.

From Experiment to Reality

       We didn’t just stop at teaching—we wanted to build. We started experimenting with model rockets, testing propulsion techniques, and refining designs. After successfully launching two model rockets, we knew we were on the right path. Our next step was clear: take rocketry from a passion project to something bigger.

The Launch of Rocket Factory India

   In March 2024, we officially launched Rocket Factory India to develop and manufacture model rockets commercially. Our startup was inaugurated by Professor R.R. Elangovan, an Ex-ISRO Scientist and a close associate of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. With this, we became the first company in Tamil Nadu to commercially produce model rockets and all the components needed for a successful launch.
